Citrus Hotel, JB

Dah lama nak buat entry JB trip tapi asyik tak jadi je..So today nak review sikit pasal hotel yang kitorang duduk masa kat jb dulu, Citrus Hotel. Firstly, nak booking hotel ni memang senang, boleh p kat website diorang n terus book. Can look up for their promotions. Masa kitorang book tu ade early bird price. For a family room with a queen size bed and a single bed, dpt rm175 per night. Stayed there for 2 nights, dah plus2 tax total up to RM360. The reason pilih hotel ni sebab tgk kat website tu nampak sgt menarik. Dia punya interior design sgt modern n chic.

Memang cantik as what the pictures show. Kitorg p on the long weekend, masa cuti Maulid Rasul n Thaipusam tu. Mmg ramai orang. We arrived by car. At first, we thought they provide parking coz they inquired whether we travel by car or not while booking the room, tapi sampai2 je rupa2nya kena cari parking sendiri. Hotel ni xde parking area yg mencukupi, so the nearest parking lot yg ada time tu kat depan police station, 3 blocks away from the hotel. X mahal sgt la byr parking. Per day ade la dlm RM10 kot(x igt lak). Tak car friendly sangat. But the location is good, sebab across the road ade City Square; nak cari makan or membeli belah dkt saja. One block away is the JB KTM Station, and JB Central. Kalau naik bas or train to JB, the hotel is within walking distance. You don't need to worry about transportation.

The check-in time is at 2pm. Tapi kitorang sangat kecewa sebab kena tunggu lama. Org hotel tu ckp bilik x ready lagi. Dua kali call pun x ready2 lagi. Bila pergi terus face-to-face baru la depa gelabah n straight away kasi kunci bilik. Last2 kol 3pm baru dpt masuk bilik. Lagi satu yg mengecewakan is their elevator is so tiny. muat dlm 5-6 orang je. bayangkan berapa kecil tu. Tak pernah aku jumpa elevator yg kecil mcm tu kat hotel. Shopping mall punya pun lg besar.

memang cantik n cozy walaupun ruang agak kecil sedikit. bilik air dia besar jugak. overall sgt selesa walau duduk 4 orang.

Utk org yg sentiasa perlukan iron for their clothes, hotel ni ada iron tapi kena mintak kat house keeping. First day tu mintak dpt la walaupun selang beberapa jam lepas request baru mucul. but on the second day, pagi2 aku call house keeping mintak iron. Setgh jam lepas tu depa call balik ckp iron xde. Lepas breakfast aku p la reception mintak iron, depa ckp dah kehabisan. Org lain pinjam x pulang2 lagi. Supposedly, after one hour pakai, kena tinggalkan depan bilik utk pulang balik. Tapi biasa la manusia, lepas pakai simpan lama2. Bila aku tanya x boleh ke try mintak, depa jawab, "Kami x boleh ganggu penginap pagi2 begini". Haih, pastu aku x puas hati call lagi housekeeping. Depa ckp nanti depa carikan n call balik. Last2 no news sampai la we checked-out. Hilang mood aku kena pakai t-shirt, cardigan n jeans hari tu. tu kira mcm outfit stock2 aku p lab or kedai runcit depan umah je..hahaha (sgt la memilih kan?)

Breakfast was provided for 3 people. X sure how much for additional person. Kitorg makan kat Citrus Cafe on 1st floor. It's buffet style. sangat best sebab byk gile choices of food! Ns goreng, mee goreng, baked beans, scrambled eggs, toasts, pudding, cereals, pastries, etc. Boleh makan byk2 sampai pecah perut. n service kat sini mantap juga. Pekerja kat situ sgt cepat collect pinggan2 kosong.

To those yang nak p Singapore, boleh deal dgn hotel ni jugak. They'll arrange a bus to pick up in front of the KTM station. The price for a return ticket is RM30. Aku rasa maybe boleh dpt murah lg kot. You can try ask any bus counter just behind City Square n accross KTM station. Actually masa we deal about this bus, ade kesilapan teknikal from the hotel's management. The night before kejadian, kitorg tanya kat reception tu pasal bus to Sentosa Island, Spore. Diorg bagi borang isi nama n suruh hantar in the morning. Bus supposed to leave around 9.30am. And in the morning, bila hantar borang diorg ckp x ada bus. we're like "wth?"..mlm tu ckp bukan main lagi..cuma tunggu depan hotel n someone in charge will come n take us. my friend suruh org tu deal with it n dptkan jugak as what they told us. they're not the same ppl as those we talked malam tu. however, they should know bout it coz they're also the staffs of the hotel..last2 diorang arranged jugak, the bus left at 10.30am..we're late n missed our breakfast due to this problem.

Overall, in terms of comfort, it's good. The room is clean, the food is great, and the interior design is interesting. But in terms of management, I think Citrus Hotel JB needs a lot of improvement.
