It a very refreshing drink that was introduced early 1900. At that time, ais tingkap was sold through a window(tingkap), that's how it got the name. Whoever comes to Penang, if you are tired walking or shopping around the Chowrasta area, don't forget to grab one ais tingkap for yourself. After this process, some shaved ice is added. I love to chew something crunchy after I slurp (it either the getah anggur or biji selasih). The price is RM1.40 for one glass or RM1.70 for one bungkus (put in a plastic). I prefer the latter since there's more..baru puas....
