Straits Quay, Penang

The busier I get, the more I do random stuff and go to places. I still remember during my undergrad years when I often went to mall and watched lots of anime on exam weeks. It's now happening, it's my last semester *fingers crossed* as a master student and I think I read novels more than usual and go to places more often.

I went to Straits Quay 2 times this month. It's a new place of mall and marina, located at Seri Tanjung Pinang. A must visit if you're in Penang! Last time I went was on Jan 2; the theme of the mall was still christmas-y and then it changed to Chinese New Year-y on Jan 8 since CNY is around the corner.

There are some stalls in front of the mall along the big hallway. They won't be the same everyday. Most of them are crafts, home n living and specialty items (eg: collectibles, home made soap, stamps). It's interesting to walk and see many cute and unique things there.

At the back of the mall, there's a marina where you could see yachts there. Overlooking the marina is the whole building. It does not only consist of a mall, but there's residency place there. Oh how I wish I had a home here.

I wonder how this place will look like at night. Maybe I should have a night visit here someday.

How to find the place? It is near Tesco Tanjong Pinang. Easy to find as there're plenty of signboards.
