In HCM, you can find a lot of travel agencies that offer Cu Chi Tunnel tour..You can try survey around the city to get the best price, or if you want the easiest way, just ask the receptionist of your hotel. For transportation, the price would be between USD9 and USD14. Kat Gia Huy Hotel tu, ade jugak this tour. The transportation is USD13..Tapi receptionist tu ckp abg dia ada organize such tour for USD9..so, kitorg pun amik la dgn receptionist tu..reading at some blogs, ada yg aku baca bas dia air-cond rosak or maybe xde air-cond..so, dlm hati takut2 jugak coz the fee sgt murah..tapi kitorg book je..we paid in VND for 168,000.. booked a night before, and the next morning kena tunggu kat lobby between 7.45-8.15am..Someone would come and take us to the bus..
The next morning, lepas breakfast we waited at the lobby..Ade org dtg asking for us 5 girls..we followed him to the bus..and unexpectedly the bus looked new and with air-cond..memang selesa..i think our bus is the only bus with shocking yellow color and somewhat looked new; coz bila dia stop kat kilang lacquer, bila tgk deretan buses, nampak agak obvious..maybe travel agency tu baru lagi kot..At first, the bus stopped from a place to another around the city area to pick up other people..Then we were dropped at a place to move to another bus..Coz the first bus was going to Mekong river..

I wasn't aware of the time during the tour..biasa bercuti camtu kot..x igt masa..as long there're things to do, i'm happy..sepanjang perjalanan, tour guide kitorg, Mr. Tung aka Mr. Drum bercerita pasal perang Vietnam n pengalaman sendiri semasa perang tu..sgt sedih crita dia..when he was a baby, his mother was on run, carrying him(as a baby) and hid in the river..he said that the American soldiers would shoot any Vietnamese that they found..so, when the baby cried, his mother covered his mouth and immersed him in the water..luckily he survived and didn't cry after the incident..Mr Tung even showed us the scars of bullets on his arm and leg..That was when he joined the Vietnam armies during the war..time Mr Tung seronok bercerita, aku ade terlelap kejap n terjaga bila dia crita pasal how he met his wife n about his son..
best bila Mr Tung bercerita..macam2 sound effect dia buat..ada bunyi pigs, cows, jets, bombs, guns, crying babies..part2 sound effects tu yg best..haha
| Mr Tung enthusiastically telling a story..at the end of every part, he'd say "u understand me?" |
I think around 40minutes after departing, we arrived at a lacquerware factory. They showed how the lacquerware are made from scratch..every single step is using manpower..i was amazed on how egg-shells and sea-shells were used to produce beautiful arts..macam painting bila tgk dari jauh..
| pasting and crunching the egg-shell into small pieces |
| i wonder how long it takes to produce the complete piece of art |
| this was made from cuttings of sea-shells |

I think we were at this place for 30-mins, then we got on the bus again to continue our journey to Cu Chi, which took 15-20minutes..
| some of our tour-mates..tinggi2 diorg ni..aku rasa tenggelam standing among them.. |
| we were the only malaysians for this trip :) |
